About 1.5 years ago, the Corner-stats.com team, analyzing the statistics of Manchester United, found a unique trend, namely 30 goals scored by the team and 0 conceded on intervals when Manchester United was winning in a match. That is, if Manchester United started to lead the score during a match, then after that the team played almost perfectly. You can read more about this in this analytics https://corner-stats.com/manchester-united-30-0-record-on-the-intervals-when-the-team-was-winning/info/317
Let's see if this trend is present in the current season (we will use the Match Intervals tool on the Corner-stats.com service):
As you can see from the screenshot, in the current season, Manchester United's statistics at intervals when a team is winning in a match is much worse - 10 goals scored and 9 goals conceded, that is, if Manchester United starts to win in a match, then plays as indistinctly as in general the current season. We also draw your attention to the fact that the total goals on the intervals when the team is winning is significantly higher than when the team is playing a draw or is losing during a match (3.54 versus 2.81).
After analyzing other statistics of Manchester United in the context of intervals of win, draw and loss, the Corner-stats.com team discovered another interesting trend: when Manchester United starts winning in a match, its team total offsides drops sharply (from 2.42 to 0.93):
